About Me

So here I am. Inspired by my lovely and amazingly talented daughter at "Humble Homemaking" I am finally entering the wonderful world of blogging.  I love all things "Home-makey" and have been in crafting heaven following her blog and viewing all the great blogs she has linked to.

I love being a mother and am so enjoying the blessings of being a Nanna.  It has been a joy to watch them all birth, "adopted" and "married in" as they grow and achieve.

I have the love and support of my dearest man ... my life's companion and the love of my life. He is patient and kind and long suffering and has been the best father ever .... I cannot imagine life without him ... I recently read this quote "don't marry the person you can live with, marry the one you can't live without".  Although I didn't know that 38 years ago, I find I have been blessed indeed to have done just that. My dream is still to walk into the eternities with my hand in his and with our children and our children's children by our sides.

As the offspring have all reached adulthood and moved on to build their own lives I find myself on the verge of a new phase in my life .... rediscovering who I am ... having time to be just me ... there is a whole world opening out in front of me .. so many things I could do ... I want to do everything at once! (always a weakness of mine.)

There are so many things I enjoy doing, knitting, sewing, crochet, cross-stitch, scrap-booking, family history, listening to music(especially hymns) baking  reading, being at church (especially with the lovely women there)...walking in the park with my little dog and sharing the joy of splashing in puddles, swishing in autumn leaves, singing in the rain, feeding ducks and such things with my precious grandchildren ... I love to glue and stick and craft with them too and just to be with them brightens my day.

I confess I don't quite know yet where this blog is taking me but see it as part of my  life's adventure. I look forward to sharing this adventure with you and to learning and growing from all the wonderful ideas that you guys have to share too.  A warm, warm welcome to you all! xxx
